FaRaw brings a very diverse style on to the music scene, Hip-hop, R&B, Dancehall and Reggae roots is what this group is made of. Members of the group are FAMALICIOUS aka FAMA and Mr. RAW, using there aliases to create the name (FaRaw). These cousins and long time friends are very talented in their genre of music that they love, but not until they merged there skills together, that not only they realize they got something, but, they also had an unbreakable chemistry.
Before the group FaRaw, FAMA and MR. RAW were with the group STYLES AMAZING, for years they performed in many venues and worked on many tracks such as NAIJA (Born 2 Lead) FEVA and THIS LAND (Never let go).
Now these creative artist are putting there efforts into launching FaRaw on to another Plato.
FAMALICIOUS says that he breaths music even in his sleep and has an addiction for creating good music and believes that music has no boundaries and is so evident for one that calls Nigeria home doing Reggae music which is a part of him can be felt in his delivery. He always feel like they’re those that would criticize him for what he does, but feels music is the answer, for it’s the one universal language. Inspired by the likes of BOB MARLEY, FELA KUTI, TUPAC,BERES HAMMOND and CAPLETON is no wonder this influences can be felt in his music.
Mr. RAW(RUFF AND WICKED) is what he’s being called but back in the days he was well known for his freestyle and was called the FREESTYLE FANATIC, he might have been holding back on some info but we got it out of him. Well known for his catchy phrase (seven years seven years we lived in Nigeria or NEPA ti mu no lo) his also very talented in giving the ladies what they want, musically speaking. Mr. RAW also had the luxury of opening for the FUGEES and gaining respect from LAUREN HILL herself .Mr. RAW says his music can be broken down into three categories Battle RAP, Songs appealing to the ladies and real life situations, And his musical influences are RAKIM, LORD FINESSE, ED O.G, XCLAN, MASTER ACE, BIGGIE, THE ROOTS and the FUGEES, wow, what a list.
FaRaw is in the Process of working on there new project which is going to send shockwaves through the airwaves, online or where ever is being played, believe me I heard it and I’ve got to say is better than what I expected, they said some samples might be heard on there MYSPACE site, so stay tuned fans.
