    Justice Thomas Istifanus of the Court of Appeal, Ibadan, Oyo State, this morning, dismissed the appeal filed by the ANPP and the DPA against the ruling of the Oyo state Election Petitions Tribunal, which declared Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala winner of the 14 April, 2007 governorship election.

    The Supreme Court, this morning, in Abuja, adjourned hearing till 23 October on the appeals made by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Action Congress and Muhammed Buhari of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), challenging the judgement of the Court of Appeal which upheld the election of Umaru Yar?Adua as president.
